Head Coach Chris Richmond brings 33 years of coaching experience to SCAT. He is a Level 4 certified member of the American Swim Coaches Association.
Beginning in 1972, he has taught and coached swimmers of all ages and abilities. His 1981 and ’82 summer club teams in Colorado won the State Championships.
Moving to Oregon in 1987, he coached the Reedsport Aqua Braves from 1987-1994. Beginning in 1994, he took over the North Bend Aquatic Club and was instrumental in organizing the South Coast Aquatic Team in 1996.
He has produced numerous state, sectional and zone champions, as well as Jr. National, National, and Olympic trial Qualifiers. His success is due to excellent teaching abilities and organizational skills.
